  • The Department of Microbiology was established in 1991 and the subject was introduced considering its scope and applications to the society. The Department pursues the mission and vision of the institute while committed to providing quality education in Microbiology contributing to making students career bright as well as making them competent through their personality and skill development.
    The department has qualified and experienced faculty members who play a proactive role towards professional and personal growth of the students. With substantial teaching experience, they are actively involved in co-curricular activities recognizing which it was awarded as the best department for the year 2017-2018 by the Microbiologist society, India

  • Facilities
  • Total area of the lab is 325 square feet having a capacity of 20 Students. The general facilities available are four working tables, sink, Gas burner , Fire extinguisher etc. The lab is well equipped with instrumentation like Autoclave, Incubator, pH meter, Colorimeter, Rotary shaker, Electronic balance, Centrifuge, Refrigerator, Microscopes, Magnetic Stirrer. UV chamber, gel electrophoresis unit etc. Sufficient glassware and chemicals are also present for the performance of Practicals.
